HVAC/R Apprenticeship Information

About the apprenticeship and what we do

Sophisticated refrigeration and climate control systems require technologically skilled technicians.

HVAC/R service technicians repair and maintain the refrigeration systems in supermarkets, restaurants and convenience stores, as well as the industrial heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems in office buildings, manufacturing facilities, large computer rooms, hospitals and other large structures where Heating or Cooling is required.

The Refrigeration Apprenticeship is a 5 year learning journey.  It involves 7220 hours on the job practical training and 4 levels of technical training.  You should be comfortable with math and basic physics.  JARTS gives you the knowledge required to solve mechanical and electrical problems, as well as the confidence to know you are doing it right the first time.
